The Ontario Aboriginal Head Start Association is pleased to announce the launch of the Indigenous Professional Learning Project.
OAHSA will provide professional learning opportunities across the province that reflect Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) pedagogies, epistemologies and leadership for off reserve Indigenous Child Care and Early Years programs.
The professional learning opportunities will support high quality, culturally safe space within Child Care and Early Years programs; with an emphasis on how Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) worldview intersects with How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years (2014). Promoting opportunities for empowering mentorship and leadership roles for urban Indigenous Educators.
Our intent through using innovative modalities is to offer professional learning opportunities through online sessions, virtual gatherings, pre- recorded modules, and resources.
